NeRF-ish volumetric video
This is a project to built an entire pipeline from camera hardware, all the way up to AI generated volumetric video. Below you can watch some videos of the project, you can also see images of the custom cameras we designed in their custom magnetic charging case. We used 30 cameras running flask and another computer inside the case to sync everything to the frame for video capture. The cameras then all upload the video to our servers that will calculate camera locations, process the data, then export the volumetric video.
So many cameras!
As a part of this project one of the requirements was to use a completely un-structured camera cloud. This videos shows just a bit of where cameras were placed.
Syncing devices
This is a custom built camera app for android that lets us sync everything together. With the 30 devices we have we had a time delta of around 14 seconds. When you want things to be frame perfect in sync that is obviously not good. So you can see some of the information showing time delta on device from the NTP server running in the charging case.
You might call it a bug, I call it art.
This happened when we had a lot of lens flare and the AI had no idea what was happening.
